Well I did see a similar sight on the 13th of Februay but didn’t have the camera too hand.  Today was a little different and I managed to get a shot of this Boeing KC-135T Stratotanker and her escort of 6 fast jets over the coast at Ayr.  The KC-135T is the one at the head of the large con trail.  From some of the comments from the guys that watch the planes it is likely that the fast jets were F-15’s.
