Bee on cosmos

A very satisfying morning and early afternoon spent tidying up the garden. I usually end up doing this in November (or not at all!) but am determined to stay on top of things this year.

These cosmos flowers seed themselves each year from the originals my mum gave me about 5 years ago. They've provided a magnificent show this year in my front garden, growing over a metre high. They really are this colour, although I also have some paler pink and white ones.

Have come in for a rest now and we're having a barbecue later - might as well make the most of the sunshine :)
