Railway Map

A trip to Manchester today to meet up with a very old friend and partake in a bit of retail therapy.   Whilst waiting in Manchester Victoria Railway Station I spotted this map on a wall in one of the entrances.  Made out of glazed bricks It shows the routes operated by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, who built this station.. The L & Y were one of the largest railway companies of the 19th century controlling track stretching coast to coast across the north of England.
