Genius at work

Operating from home today with no one else in the house so grabbed the opportunity to try and fix the friggin' coffee maker which has been driving me bananas. 
Undo a few screws, give it a few good wallops, put it back together and Hey Presto, it works fine again.

 But we're not sure for how long. 

Ah well.
