Vella i Bella

Old and Beautiful.........what a wonderful way to describe the attractive and distinctly Spanish city of Cuitadella!

Founded by the Cathaginians, known to the Muslims as Medina Minurqua and almost destroyed by the Turks in 1558.... . Cuitadella was the capital city of Menorca until the British arrived in the eighteenth century.

Today, it is the second city of the island........and it is a charming place to wander around in the morning sunshine......to sit and enjoy a morning coffee.......followed a little later, by a tasty lunch......also in the sunshine, at a pavement café!
So lucky, to be able to enjoy a winter holiday in Menorca!
