Shrove Tuesday Skipping

In accordance with tradition established beyond
the memory of locals, Scarborough's Foreshore
Road is closed to traffic to make way for
hundreds of people with their skipping ropes.
So it was today in glorious sunshine and even
the Mayor of the Town in full robed regalia was to
be seen with his skipping rope.
