After the Kyna.

Ancient mirror

Today I have a new Great niece but as her mother does not want any photos of her online, I have to respect her wishes.
This mirror belonged to her fourth great grandmother, born 1827. It was passed down to her granddaughter Maggie and it was in her house where I used to see it every visit. I did not realise the significance of it as a child and it was only after the death of Peggy, Maggie's daughter, in 2015 that Peggy's detailed description of it attached to its back made me realise it is a true heirloom.
The scenery round the mirror was painted in the early 1800s and is of Loch Tay, near Killin where the original Margaret (b 1827) lived and died.
