Under pressure

Can you see what I've done there? Yup - this is a pressure gauge (although there's not actually any pressure because the fire wasn't lit).

This lovely bit of kit is on a LB&SCR A1 class locomotive - AKA a "Terrier" because they pant. There are 10 of these engines left and we saw two of them yesterday at the Bluebell railway (Fenchurch and Stepney) and two more are at the K&ESR. I've blipped them before and if you'd like a reminder here's three of them triple-heading a train up Tenterden bank. I'm reliably informed that visibility from the footplate is poor which is why you'll generally see someone standing on the running plate to see what's happening.
