Attention!

Another fine sunny day, so we decided on a trip out of town. Radical. Camera charged, binoculars in the bag, all we needed was a tartan rug and thermos. Well, we bimboed round some picturesque villages out at the Neuk before - highlight of the day - a visit to a big house of Cambo with its huge collection of snowdrops in the woods! I’d last been there when it was a dilapidated old place and some of my student pals had lodgings on the top floor. Now it seems to be undergoing an amazing transformation - with a number of charitable partners. That’s how to keep your stately home up scratch, people.
Back to town eventually and out to the Malt & Hops to meet a fellow old goat and the guv’nor. Fine chats, much of a nautical bent, and he twisted my arm to take him on to Nobles!
