Seed agriculture

What is going on in this photo?

This is a picture of my uncle at work. He is a professor of agriculture, consumer, and environmental science at New Mexico State university. He is currently working on a project where he is planting seeds on St Simons. I actually went with him on this trip. It was really fun and I learned a lot of new things.

How is this image related to a specific human geography concept from current unit or previous units?

This image is related to seed agriculture. Seed agriculture is the annual planting of a seed that results from sexual fertilization. This is the most common method of farming today.

Link the image to one of the 5 themes of geography with an explanation of how it relates.

This image is related to the human/environment interaction theme. My uncle helped modify the land by planting new trees that the English cleared when they came from Great Britain.
