World Book Day

Inspired by Sandyshore's entry.
And no, I couldn't read it when I was six.
I've read it aloud to my kids, Tolkiens writing flows nicely (unlike C S Lewis who is impossible, we gave up on him). I had to buy a new copy though, mine was too tattered and the front cover and spine off. I like my Dads distinctive handwriting, he always wrote with a broad nib fountain pen.
