Bergamot

It's past its best now but has been flowering happily in the border for the past couple of months. Bees and butterflies seem to like it.

Until I started blipping I had no idea what this plant in my garden was. That's the joy of this site...someone somewhere knows everything - well almost.

The only thing I know about this herb is that it is used in blends of Earl Grey tea, but infusions of the plant itself are said to be excellent. One day I'll pluck up the courage to boil the kettle and try one.
