Looking North (Islay, Jura, and Gigha)

8.5C dry and bright with plenty of cloud. Even brighter through the afternoon. Moderate Easterly breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound woke at 4am but thankfully I was able to persuade her to go back to her recently expanded pile of dog mats and a cosy fleece and she slept through until the alarm clock ... hooray. When we did go for our early walk she was more or less using all four legs.

Apothecary7's day off, and a morning at home as we were expecting a phone call towards noon.

Almost 12.30 when we got the call with the good news that the driver from the car dealer we have used the last few times in Dundee had arrived in Campbeltown with Apothecary7's new VW Golf. Yes, they delivered all the way to our door. There was a bottle of Champagne in the boot too. Can't beat that for service. A few bits of paper to sign and exchange and the driver set off in our 'old' car for a look around the area before the long drive back East.

Apothecary7 drove us up to Glenbarr for lunch. I drove home.
We stopped on the way to see if we could get a photo of some sort.

Maeve has had a quiet day with short walks round town.

Later Apothecary7 was starting a new painting.

Afternoon music ... Blue Rose Code, ...And Lo! The Bird is on the Wing. Van Morrison, Keep Me Singing.
