Still Doddering

over a title.
Still doddering as to whether it's worked. Love the top left, but boy was it stoopid to try and use pastel to draw a fluffy feather :-( Ended up using gouache and a fine brush... sigh
best to step away from the painting and just look at it for a while.
I think this is an object lesson in thinking about whether a great photo will necessarily work as a painting.
