Fire in Govan

A serious fire in a scrapyard in Helen Street, Govan. Tyres and cars are alight. This huge plume of smoke is rising over the city, polluting such a beautiful blue sky. I am sure it can be seen for miles around. At time of writing 50 Firefighters, and nine pumps at the scene. Police helicopter is hovering.

This shot is taken from Pollok Park, looking across the Craigholme pitches. The extra at Pollok House, which looks a bit like the smoke is pouring out of the chimney.
