Autumnal

This morning we visited Cathedral View Residential Care Home to collect Grandma's belongings. She has been in hospital for three months and is too unwell to return to a care home and we need to find her a nursing home instead. Although a sad moment, it is not unexpected.

We spent the afternoon in the garden. The garden is in three parts and we have mostly tidied the first section and have begun work on the second. We weeded, pruned and cut wood for the winter. Fortunately we we enjoy both the work in the garden and the results of our work. We don't often sit in the swing seat but occasionally we will stop and have a cup of tea, or just enjoy the evening sunshine.
