...and a bunch of fresh snipped Muscat grapes.

D popped in the other day with a tasting plate handful of grapes asking if we would like some, well several kilos in fact.
" I can't find a home for them. Nobody likes the pips" she said.
What!!
Fresh picked, spray free, sun ripened and rejected because of a few wee pips.
What is the world coming to?

Muscat are the name of one of the oldest and most widespread grape families in the world. Thought to have originated in the Middle East and  used in wine making since the times of the ancient Greeks this variety has a long history.
Doris's vine was planted as a cutting some 60 years ago and taken from a vine at her family's valley home that had been there for at least 50 years.
These perfect little plumpnesses! have quite a pedigree.
And DELICIOUS they are with their pearly bloom and sweet, firm flesh...and yes a pip or two.
