..I announce my retirement from competitive racing.

Went for a hill run with number two son today. I knew I was in trouble when we reached a gate that we have to pass. You can either open it, clamber over (my usual method), vault it (Liam's usual method). Today he hurdled it. Didn't even touch it. I just watched in dismay as he disappeared into the distance on the other side.

Lots of walking followed. I only caught up very near the end when he waited for me.
