Miniature wonder

Half a swallow's eggshell: so small, yet the chicks grow at a phenomenal rate once hatched.

I found this at the downstair's entrance to my flat this morning. I'm thinking it's come from the nest above the doorway, as for the last week or more, there's been an adult making a getaway from there anytime the door opens.

This will be their fourth clutch this year. The doom-monger in me knows it's so late in the season to be raising chicks, so good luck to them.

Apologies for the erratic blipping of late. I'd been letting the photos slip because of the recent numptyness I've experienced.

Anyway, I've back-blipped, if you want to take a gander, and for the record, I'm not letting the rat bags get me down! :-)
