St Andrew's Church, Barnston

I saw this church the other day when I stopped to photograph the sunrise on my way to work.  Today I stopped on my way home to get this photograph.

The Nave is 12thC with a simple Romanesque doorway on the south side.  The church is quite striking in it's white plaster, in years gone by it was common for churches to have a coating of lime plaster but the Victorians preferred to see the stone work so the practice largely stopped.
