I love thistles and always let lots of them grow in the garden. These ones were nearly 6 feet tall, had lovely tufty purple flowers earlier and now their seedheads have all burst open to let out these gorgeous soft seeds. The wind was blowing this morning so no doubt they will all go on their separate journeys and plant themselves all over the garden.
