Pablo Picasso

Today I realised that I've been walking past two original Picasso paintings every week on my way to this staffroom!
One is 'Dove of Peace' (1961) and the other 'Affiche pour le Musee Ceret' (1957).
I'd always liked the painting of the dove but had never looked closely! I was also aware that Durham University had invested a controversial amount of money in original artwork but still hadn't paid any real attention to what was around me. I've just googled a news article and discovered that there are actually 5 Picasso pieces on campus.
It really goes to show how much we can miss as we go about our daily business; Blip is definitely helping me 'notice' much more.
