Getting Down To Brass Tacks

Today I went to Abington Park a couple of miles from home for an icecream and to listen to a brass band that played in the old bandstand.

The park has been voted 5th best in Britain. It has lakes, an aviary, lots of huge old trees, a great cafe, sports facilities and an old church where Shakespeare's grandaughter is buried; she lived in the park's manor house (built around 1500), now a wonderful museum. If ever you pass close to Northampton, I hope you'll visit it.
