Duckwatch

Every spring a pair of Mallard attempts to nest in our garden. I don't know if it's the same pair each year but they are amazingly persistent. We shoo them off - many times each day - because the garden is riddled with foxes and (other people's) cats and there's no possibility the duckings would survive. But every year they come back, and for several weeks each spring we're on duckwatch.
