Polly Dog R.I.P.

A very bad day today. 
The vet confirmed our worst fears and at 3pm we said goodbye to our very dear Polly dog.
She was 12 ½ years old and had had a remarkably fit, healthy & happy life until October of last year when she had a growth removed from a front leg, which proved to be a malignant melanoma.  She continued remarkably well until last week when her back legs stopped functioning correctly and she developed a kind of canine dementia.  The positive aspect of all this is that it happened relatively quickly and she wasn’t in any pain.

As blippers who follow me and Mrs MD (BezziePet) know – she was our constant companion over the years – in fact many blippers had met her.  She featured in many blips – she was a truly beautiful dog – good natured and friendly at all times.  We will miss her terribly.
