A vase of withering beauties!

Tulips are such interesting flowers ... you buy a  bunch and then wait to see what happens. 

Some stems bend so the the flowers are almost on the table, some flowers open right up revealing the stamens and the anther ... these yellow tulips have done neither. The stems are still ramrod straight and the flowers are beginning to shrivel without ever opening. They still look .
nice but I don't expect them to last much longer.

A busy day .... walking dogs in the morning and then in the afternoon I decided to scarify the front grass. There is so much moss in among the grass that I will probably need one or two more goes with the lawn raker. The grass was still a bit wet but I have completely filled three black bags .. who needs to go to the gym for exercise!
