Abstract Thursday Liverwort

A macro shot of a Liverwort (I think).  Its certainly organic and is an interesting plant being very old in evolutionary terms. The first liverworts arose at the time green alga was making its transition onto land during the Devonian Era which is a long time before more advanced plants such as flowering plants, ferns and mosses appeared. In fact, liverworts are often referred to as "the simplest true plants."
