Morning spent in the sunshine at West Barns looking for interesting colored rock formations - largely unsuccessful as the light wasn't great.   Did take a few landscape shots - this one seemed to work best in black and white.

My mother dropped off family archives at the weekend and I discovered a unknown connection to East Lothian.  My great, great grandfather was a seaman from Fraserburgh but drowned off Dunbar in the storm of 14 October 1881, which took the lives of nearly 200 seaman along the east coast. Fascinating chat with local historians in Dunbar this afternoon.
