We are gathered here today
to give thanks for the sky.
Let us praise its blue vastness.
Also, let those of us who possess
the ability to fly
take a moment to appreciate
our feathers and our powerful wings.
Members of the congregation whose feet
are rooted for ever to the ground
may occupy their minds with other things.
