Johnny

Johnny is our local Street Roots peddler. Certain days and certain times you can find him in downtown St Johns, and you can find him at University Park New Seasons practically every day. He sat inside the store, near the exit, most of these cold wintery days, but was outside today - a day that reached 60! Someone had just given him the rose, and I think the grin is also because he recently had a cataract removed.
Street Roots creates income opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and poverty by producing a newspaper and other media that are catalysts for individual and social change.
