I Saw A Mouse

Eine Maus in German.

We were out on the worst mushroom hunt ever today but spotted this little mouse hiding under a dead tree. Quite a sweet little thing.

Apart from the lack of mushrooms, it was a Really Good Day; A good long walk in the forest, a bit of work in the Garden, Kaffee & Kuchen, a trip to Kloster Eberbach, something to eat and then home.

Actually it was an animal rich day - we saw this mouse, a kingfisher, hundreds of swallows, squirrels*, possibly a Nutria although it might have been a rat, and then people watching at the restaurant. Super.

*my job when we're driving is to report at junctions if there is traffic coming from the right. I say either "Rechts ist frei" or "Nicht frei". Except that one time when I said "Squirrel" because there was a squirrel crossing the road.
