Silly Birds!!

This morning I noticed two different types of birds (downy woodpeckers and chickadees), pecking chips of ice out of the birdbath and eating them.....in spite of the fact that my fountain with open water was three feet away!!
I didn't know birds liked ice chips, did you??!!??
