Beneath Biscay

M's birthday today so went for a walk, an aperitif and then lunch at the 'La GItana' (The Gypsey) restaurant. We both chose a jamon and fresh cheese salad, followed by carillera and mash for main course. Carillera is braised pork or beef cheeks and normally, as it was today, extremely tender.

Good food, attentive staff, reasonable price and quick service. Can't ask for more.

Aftwerwards we carried on along the sea-front to a terrace bar for an ice-coffee, then home.
