Ponderosa memorial

Parked up at the Ponderosa cafe,at the top of the Horseshoe Pass in Llangollen today..
It's been done many times in the past,and an area behind the cafe,as always caught my eye..

Today,I decided to walk towards it,and was totally surprised to find a small pool at the top of the hills,and in the centre,and central to 2 bushes...flowers/plaques/crosses/ headstones!?!

Seems to be a memorial,but quite a mystery as to who the people actually are?
Owners of the cafe,or people lost on the moorlands?
Difficult to know without crossing over the pool,and there's respect to take in account..

Whatever the answer,I wish them eternal peace,so for now...I will settle at this mysteriously interesting blip!
