To The Island

Out near the river again this morning, delivering some no-longer needed sewing machines to a charity which can make use of them. 

Then we went to Cramond and had a stroll around the Church, the Roman remains and the shore.  

The couple in the picture are walking out to the Island along the causeway which is  submerged at high tide. I have never dared to do this, for fear of being stuck on the island for hours, or worse, having to be rescued!

The sky looked very threatening but all that happened was a miserable drizzle. We skulked in the tea shop for a bit, then set out for home, and the rain came with us.
