A tropical treat
Our local village greengrocer often has pawpaws (or papaya if you want the Spanish name). We like to treat ourselves and today we had a quarter each for breakfast, saving the other half for tomorrow.
The family came to lunch today and I chose to roast a chicken. With making the stuffing and the bread sauce and rolling up the bacon rolls, it seems to take me the whole morning. Worth it for a lovely roast, and they brought with them a delicious dessert so we ate well.
Afterwards we sat round the fire, chatting. So good to have them here, but they have gone home now.
