Phenology

Just one of the many blackbirds chasing around in the Garden today. We made the most of the Spring-like weather and did some gardening, then I treated myself to a browse through some old blips to see what I can expect to see over the next month so - weather permitting. The Curlews are already arriving on the breeding grounds, Skylarks are singing, Lapwing are pairing up and displaying, the odd butterfly is on the wing, but soon there will be Sand Martins, Swallows, Ring Ouzels, Wheatears, to name but a few. Exciting times!
