B for Bremen

Our annual B trips resumed in earnest last year, after the hiatus caused by Jackie and I living in Tanzania and Cambodia respectively. We started frequenting Bs when we were at uni together and went on a field trip to Bangor in 2002, and have done them mostly annually since. They are always hilarious, mostly obscure, and often drunken.

This trip is more momentous than most as Adam is shortly to move to Melbourne. We are determined to keep up the B visits regardless and may refocus our attention on Brisbane and Bali rather than Belarus and Bulgaria.

Jackie, Ruth and I arrived earlier than the other pair and amused ourselves by eating Syrian falafel, smelling Bremen's breweries and completing the Escape challenge; a craze sweeping many cities of the world where you have to solve puzzles within an hour to avoid being locked in a room.
