Glasgow Street Art No 12

My mission today was to transport a fairly grotty-but-still-working vacuum cleaner from the ex-Laird's house to D#1's flat in Partick, with the lure of lunch part of the bargain.

Afterwards we had a walk along the Clyde, amazed at all the regeneration in the form of upmarket flocks of bats*, and popped into the Riverside Museum, ostensibly for a coffee, only to find the café closed.

On the way back, near Partick railway station, we passed this mural, a reminder of the 2014 Commonwealth Games. We agreed that a duct of some kind from the tenement looks like a nose stud on the hockey-player's face!

* A friend who rents a 12th-floor apartment in one of these blocks was horrified at the high quote for home insurance, only to be told it was because of the risk of flooding, being so close to the river!!!
