TEAM GB WINS!!!

Wow! What a day!

We had ExCel day passes, so were able to go to any of the events being held in the 4 arenas at any point from 9am till 11pm. We saw everything today that we could have hoped to have seen from the duration of the Paralympic Games.

We saw 4 sports - Sitting Volleyball, Table Tennis, Boccia and Power Lifting. We saw Team GB compete in Sitting Volleyball - and they won!!! I can't even begin to describe the noise. We saw 4 gold medal deciders, and 3 bronze medal deciders. We saw a Paralympic Record being broken, and an attempt at a World Record that was so close to succeeding. And the last thing we saw before we left was a medal ceremony.

The four events were a perfect mix - the high energy and excitement of Sitting Volleyball, the speed and precision of Table Tennis, the quiet skill and concentration of Boccia, and the surprisingly gripping and tense Power Lifting.

We couldn't have asked for anything more from the day!
