Only today have I realised that a full moon and a half moon are one and the same. That adds an interesting twist to the old 'glass half full' question :-)

Almond blossom is giving way to almond leaves. All sorts of plants are waking up to Spring, though most are not yet quite visible from this viewpoint. The sheep are briefly permitted to graze in the vineyard while the weeds are high but before the vines come into bud. The best part of a week of almost continuous rain and our storage tanks are almost all full. The main 68 tonne underground tank beside the house is full to overflowing, as are the 28 tonne underground tank beside the cottage and the 10 tonne collection vessel on the Eastern boundary. Only the pool itself and the 10 tonne collection vessel on the Western boundary are not. The latter because olive branches brought down in the snow have punctured the hosepipe leading to the vegetable garden and we will not be able to seek the leak until all those branches have been moved elsewhere. Meanwhile the valve from the vessel has been closed. The pool is not full because we are upping its decadence rating.

Q: If we upped its decadence rating twelvefold would that make it dodecadence?
