Beginning to think like a photographer

I am attempting the MonoMonday challenge but the technical term of depth of field was new to me. However I had various attempts and it all seemed to come together in Vogrie. All of sudden my black Dashound who is normally difficult to photo but in this instance provided the near focus with Vogrie House fading into the mist.
