The Barbican, Plymouth

Another collage as I wanted to include all these images of Plymouth's Barbican - taking most of the photos from Madeira Road. Lots of masts of yachts in Sutton Harbour, a super sea-serpent sculpture, the view looking across to Mount Batten, where flying boats used to land during the war - and after, when Mr PP saw them as a lad (long before this part of the city's docks became gentrified). The old building is the "London South Western Railway Receiving Office for Goods and Parcels to All Parts". Rather dull again today, but dry and mild. Fabulous three-course lunch at Leandra's - our favourite eating place in Plymouth.
