Stepping out in mud

We had plans to get out today as the forecast was good.....(for once the forecasters got it right) so as soon as our hairdresser came and went we'd be off. She was running late, which had a knock on effect so we didnt escape until almost mdday :-/

We shelved our original idea of Martin Mere and instead drove over to Rufford for lunch in the little cafe by the canal, before heading out for a decent walk along the Leeds Liverpool
Canal...which is where todays blip is from. The chap in front of us on the canal bank was also having his lunch in th cafe :-)

Today was the first day up here that really felt springlike...we actually took our bodywarmers off, it was so nice to feel the warmth of the sun on our faces :-)

We certainly walked our Ploughmans off, a 5 mile round trip...circa, 12,000 steps.

On the drive home the tempurature was 16 degrees, so as soon as we got in, a quick change into some "tatty" clothes, I finished tidying the pond, emptied out some of last years tubs to bulk up some of the raised beds, cut back some of the, plants that were hanging over the walls, all in readiness for jetwashing next week.

We have just had home made pan fried haddock, spicy oven chips and peas,

Such a shame tomorrows weather forecast isnt the same :-/

this blip might just fit for Bobsblips wide wed shot with "M" for mud underfoot.
