Banded Dotterel

Spent the afternoon at the Washdyke Lagoon with a friend. I need a new tripod and head my iold one is so heavy for my advancing years. My friends one was just right.
Wrong time of day for the light, and tide was too far out but got some shots. I need a lot more practice but the tripod was a vast improvement with its swivel head.
It has been such a hot day not at all like autumn.
The extras are a Pied Stilt and an Oyster Catcher
