The Circle of Life

I've been to Norfolk & Norwich Hospital today, just visiting...not ill.  I was trying to find a suitable blip opportunity when I came across this beautiful stained glass window in the Central Block.  It's called 'The Circle of Life' which seems very appropriate for a hospital.
It was designed by Stanley Kennedy North in 1938 and was made for the maternity wing donated by the Colman Family.  Man, at the centre of the window is depicted with the creatures of the earth who surround him in life.  Close to the man are the fruits of the earth in contrasting colours.  The figure in the centre is Christ depicted as a child, (again, very suitable for a maternity wing), The background for the centrepiece is the scene from a painting 'The Marl Pit' painted around 1810 by John Sell Cotman.
