North Alwn Platform(s)

Our "Cooks Tour" round the Oil & Gas installations has taken us up just shy of 61 degrees north, to the "Alwyn" shown here somewhat hemmed in by the clouds.
if you go large and look at the Drill Derrick disappearing into the mist on top of the Right hand structure, you might make out two pin pricks of light shining through the murk. Those are the landing lights of a Helicopter that has made it through the clag to carry out a crew change.
More bad weather on the way, +10 metre waves and high winds means we will be running for port, Bergen here we come...
