Wait

LentChallenge day 15. Struck by the story of a man Marcus wrote about the other day.

So when I saw that the word today was wait, it got me thinking how in a way we are all waiting for death - it will come to us all.

But wandering round this cemetery today it was heartening reading some of the inscriptions - like "in death they were not divided" about couples and "safe in the arms of Jesus." I'm not really waiting for death - I'm waiting for new life, and not living in fear of death but in hope of eternity and meanwhile we can do what we can to bring that hope and new life to this earth now!
