Yellow skunk cabbage

We stayed at Gregynog Hall, Mid-Wales, last night, after a visit to older son in Stafford and a show by TV gardener Joe Swift in Newtown (both very enjoyable). The extra is the Hall, and this is a striking yellow flower we found on a walk in the grounds this morning, growing in boggy ground. From later research we have found it to be an import from North America, but we didn't detect it's smell this morning.
