It was a lovely warm sunny morning so we decided to walk along the huge beach and visit a nature reserve which is a haven especially for some rare birds. Unfortunately we didn't see any very rare birds but did see several back-winged stilts with their huge orange stilt like legs. Prior to that we had watched some local fishermen mending their nets and others beaching their boats as there is no harbour. About 200 metres from the shore they would approach at full speed and ram into the beach whereupon a rope was attached to a tractor which would then pull it high up on the beach beside dozens of fishermen's huts.(extra)
